    Topics NAGW is Looking for the May 2021 Virtual Event

    This year, we have designed a shorter, one-day event (view the full 2021-2022 event schedule) on May 19, 2021 with one keynote speaker and six sessions centered around Digital Government.

    Sessions will focus on:

    • Online Forms (Do you have a cool way for citizens to do business with your city or county? Did you have to quickly shift from paper to digital platforms during COVID-19? Share your experience with us!)
    • Citizen Engagement (How did you communicate with the public in 2020 and/or in emergency situations? Share your best practices from your website or social media campaigns with us!)
    • Technology & Tools (Did you implement a new technology in 2020 to make your website more efficient or user-friendly? How did your City Hall or your County Building go more digital in 2020?)
    • How We Did That (Solved a problem or created a cool feature on your website? We’d love to see a how-to demo on how you cracked a code or rolled out a project.)

     



    Presentation Length

    General conference sessions are 60 minutes (50 minute presentation / 10 minute Q&A).

     



    What You Get In Return

    NAGW provides a complimentary registration to the conference as compensation for speaking. ​Conference registration is required if your conference session is selected. Do not register until you are sent the discount code to use.

    Code of Conduct

    NAGW requires that speakers to agree to a Conference Code of Conduct that explains acceptable and unacceptable behavior at our conference, including and especially when presenting. The short version is "don’t be a jerk". We want everyone at our conference to feel welcome and comfortable. As a speaker, you play an important role in helping to create that safe environment for everybody. We appreciate your assistance.
