Hope & Cheer for the New Year!

    Holiday Greetings from NAGW

We would be remiss if we did not take the time to thank all of you at the end of the year. NAGW sincerely appreciates all of our members, sponsors, staff and volunteers and everything you do for the organization. A special thanks to the boards before us, who took a dream and made it a reality.

We honored our inaugural class of graduates of the Certified Government Digital Services Professional certification during the Pinnacle Awards this year. We welcomed another class of the certification program during the #NAGW2018 pre-conference, and look forward to honoring our 2019 graduates at the annual conference.

We introduced a new logo and will be rolling it out everywhere over the next few months. Keep your old t-shirts and bags – they are now retro-chic. ;)

Our new website will be going live in the next couple weeks and the board is working hard getting it ready. Anticipate some downtime as we reconnect things and we will send more specific outage notifications closer to the go live date.

The board voted and approved to authorize $0 conference registration fees for speakers, starting at the 2019 conference. Get your ideas for speaking sessions ready to go as the call for speakers will open in late January. We hope this will provide an additional incentive for you to submit speaking proposals.

The board will be heading to Salt Lake City in April for the annual board retreat. It is an opportunity to work on strategic planning for the organization and make plans for the conference. We hope you can join us at #NAGW2019 happening September 18-20 at the Sheraton Salt Lake City Hotel. We can't wait to see you!

Finally I want to say thank you to my fellow board members for selecting me to serve as your president for another year. This is my fourth and final year as president and I am honored and privileged to serve NAGW in this capacity.

    Have a wonderful holiday season!
