Leslie Labrecque has worked in technology and the web for over 15 years, having held the position of Webmaster for the City of Boulder since 2002. At that time, she began managing several static HTML websites. In 2006 she implemented the city’s first web content management system (CMS), Joomla!, which sparked her love for open source software. Following this effort, Leslie initiated the city’s social media presence in 2008 starting with Twitter and Facebook. Her most recent project redesigned the City of Boulder website using a responsive design and an open source CMS co-developed and managed with the City of Arvada. Leslie holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Business Management from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s of Science in Computer Information Technology from Regis University. She is a wife and mother of two whose spare time consists of vegetarian cooking, sewing and playing video games.
