Keynote Announcement: Marisa Peacock is coming to NAGW 2026!

The National Association of Government Web Professionals (NAGW) is thrilled to announce Marisa Peacock as a keynote speaker for the 2026 NAGW National Conference, taking place October 6-9 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Marisa is a social media strategist, educator, and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of digital marketing, inclusive design, and emerging technologies. She is a Senior Lecturer in Advertising at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the founder of Strategic Peacock, a consultancy that helps nonprofits, small businesses, and educational institutions build effective digital strategies.

In her keynote, "Create with Compliance: Preparing the Next Generation of Web Professionals Through Compliance-Centered Design," Marisa makes the case that compliance should be a foundation of the creative process, not a final checkpoint. Drawing on her research-based Create with Compliance framework, she'll explore how accessibility, privacy, platform policies, and emerging technologies like AI can drive innovation, trust, and user-centered design rather than limit it.
