M.J. Simpson
M.J. Simpson has been the web manager for the City of Greenville, S.C., since 2003. Having spent the bulk of her professional career working in marketing and communications, she stumbled into web development while working in another job at the City. Eventually she parlayed it into a full time position.
A web video tutorial junkie, M.J. can complete no day without a half dozen Google searches. Currently she maintains a half dozen websites for the City, and is overseeing the redesign of the City’s main website to the Microsoft ASP.NET framework.
When not at work, she can be found creating toy train or Hot Wheels layouts with her two young sons. She and her husband, David, met while whitewater canoeing and still enjoy regular trips on the numerous rivers located throughout the Southeast.
