Pheasant Run Resort and Spa is located in St. Charles, Illinois, which is about an hour from downtown Chicago. Chicago is serviced by two airports, O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and Midway Airport (MDW) which primarily serves budget airlines. The Resort features free on-site parking.

Public Transportation

When you arrive in Chicago, you will want to get to the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) trains run from both airports to downtown Chicago.

  • From O’Hare International Airport (ORD)

    • Take CTA Blue Line to downtown

  • From Midway International Airport (MDW)

Once at the Ogilvie Transportation Center you will:

  • Take Metra Commuter Rail from Chicago, IL to Geneva, IL
    • Train originates from Ogilvie Transportation Center downtown
    • Route name: Union Pacific West Line terminating in Elburn

    • Note: Not all trains stop at all stations. Refer to schedule to make sure your train stops at Geneva.
    • Fare: Zone A to H, One-Way is $5.65 (Buy ticket at station or train conductor will charge additional $2.00). Please note that Metra does NOT accept credit cards.
    • Travel time: approximately one hour.
    • Exit at Geneva Stop (third from last)
      • Pre-arrange for a hotel shuttle to take you from the Geneva train station to Pheasant Run
      • Alternatively, take Pace Bus #802 north to Pheasant Run Resort. Fare: $1.50, Time: about 15 minutes.

Driving Directions

From O'Hare International Airport

Take I-90 West to Route 59 South. Exit south on Route 59 and continue to North Avenue (Route 64). Turn right (west) on North Avenue. The Resort is located 3 miles west of Route 59 on North Avenue (Route 64) on the south side of the street.

From Chicago

Take I-290 West to I-88 West. Continue west on I-88 to Farnsworth (Kirk) North. Exit north on Farnsworth (Kirk) and continue to North Avenue (Route 64). Turn right (east) on North Avenue and continue approximately 1 mile. The Resort is located on the south side of the street.

From Chicago Midway

Take Cicero Avenue North to I-55 South. Get on I-55 South and continue to I-355 North. Exit onto I-355 North and continue to I-88 West. Exit onto I-88 West and continue to Farnsworth (Kirk) North. Exit north on Farnsworth (Kirk) and continue to North Avenue (Route 64). Turn right (east) on North Avenue and continue approximately 1 mile. The Resort is located on the south side of the street.

From the South

Take I-294 North to I-88 West. Exit I-88 West at Farnsworth (Kirk Rd.) North and continue to North Avenue (Route 64). Turn right (east) on North Avenue and continue approximately 1 mile. The Resort is located on the south side of the street.
