Letter from the Board President
6/20/2023
Dear NAGW Members,
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you with regret that, due to lower than anticipated registration numbers, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the National Association of Government Web Professionals (NAGW) conference, originally scheduled to take place September 6-8, 2023, in Indianapolis, Indiana. We understand the disappointment this may cause and apologize for any inconvenience.
As members of NAGW, your support and participation are invaluable to our organization. We had hoped to gather for an inspiring and enriching conference experience, but the reality is that the current registration numbers make it financially unfeasible to proceed with the event as planned. We have thoroughly evaluated the situation and explored alternatives, but ultimately concluded that canceling the conference was the most responsible course of action.
However, we want to assure you that despite the cancellation, we remain committed to providing valuable resources, educational opportunities, and meaningful connections for our members. In the coming weeks, we will be launching a series of virtual events tailored to the needs and interests of government web professionals. These virtual events will include educational sessions, interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and access to valuable resources.
We are excited about these upcoming virtual events and believe they will offer valuable insights, professional development opportunities, and the chance to connect with fellow professionals from the comfort of your own location. We will be sharing more information about these events, including how to register and participate, in the near future.
For those who have already registered for the in-person conference, we will be reaching out to you directly to discuss refund options and provide any necessary details. We appreciate your patience as we work through these logistics.
We want to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support of NAGW. We understand that these are challenging times, and we remain committed to serving the needs of our members. Your involvement and engagement are crucial to the success of our organization, and we are committed to delivering valuable virtual experiences that meet your expectations.
If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We value your feedback and are here to assist you in any way we can.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to connecting with you through our upcoming virtual events and continuing to foster a strong and vibrant community of government web professionals.
Sincerely,
Jason Huber
